<h2>What  is CCS2?</h2><p>CCS2 stands for Combined Charging System 2. It is  one of the most common EV fast-charging connector types used in Australia and  Europe. CCS2 is mainly associated with DC fast charging, although its design  is based around the Type 2 connector shape.</p><p>A CCS2 plug has  the upper Type 2 section plus two larger DC pins below it. This allows  compatible vehicles to use high-power DC chargers for faster charging during  longer trips or quick public top-ups.</p><h2>Why CCS2  matters</h2><p>For EV drivers, CCS2 matters because it determines  whether the vehicle can physically and technically connect to many public  fast chargers.
